We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our development team to help us build out innovative solutions in the healthcare space. Our core tech stack is Java/Python/Postgres/AWS, with potential to work across many other platforms and solutions across the business. You will be joining an established team and will influence the way the team works together.

You will be joining an established team and will influence the way the team works together.

You will bring a positive, dedicated and forward-thinking approach. Your enthusiasm and desire to provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers will ensure your success in the role.

Hybrid working conditions for a candidate based in Melbourne or Brisbane

Key accountabilities include:

• Develop, test and deploy high quality software solutions to meet business requirements
• Contribute towards application architecture and design decisions
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities across the software development team
• Lead development projects, mentor junior team members and provide guidance around best practices
  
  
  

Key selection criteria:

• Strong development experience with Python/Java and related frameworks
• Experience with front end JS frameworks such as React
• Experience designing/building/consuming RESTful API's
• Competent with PostgreSQL
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Experience with modern application architectures including microservices, serverless (AWS) and containerisation
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Healthcare IT knowledge (ie. HL7 / DICOM) beneficial
• Knowledge of AI solution implementation beneficial
