We are a microcosm of Australia's health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.
We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Head of Infrastructure is responsible for the strategic direction, design, and operational excellence of St Vincent's enterprise IT infrastructure services. - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of infrastructure specialists, including system engineers, administrators, and architects
- Manage the infrastructure services budget, optimising spend and ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources
- Establish robust governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with security and regulatory obligations, including ISO27001, Essential Eight, and SOCI.
- Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of Tier 0 infrastructure services, acting as an Incident Management Lead (IML) for critical incidents
- Lead commercial, strategic, and vendor partnerships with providers for compute, storage, and data centre services

- Proven track record of successfully leading major infrastructure projects and transformations
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing technical teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft)
Things that work for you:
- Ability to visibly see your impact on the business and its service
- Competitive salary packaging options
- Discounted private health insurance
- Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
- Access to the Fitness Passport (FP)
