Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for guiding and leading the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unit and contribute to cutting-edge projects.

What you will be doing?

• Lead the development of end-to-end full-stack solutions across our product stack with Java,Spring boot.
• Participate in design workshops, tackle architectural challenges and shape the future of software engineering.
• Work on the existing payments platform and contribute towards modernization
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements
• Contribute to auxiliary tools that help in testing - end to end testing, load testing, etc
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.

Who you are?

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend engineer working on Java and related technologies
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on backend technologies especially java
• Deep understanding Spring boot and related technologies
• Strong experience with API communication protocols such as gRPC, REST.
• Experience with microservices architecture and solid understanding of Databases(RDBMS and NoSQL).
• Pragmatic knowledge of messaging systems (like Kafka, IBM MQ)
• Very good understanding of application hosting infrastructures like Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Standouts:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
• Experience using AI tools (Copilot,Claude,ChatGPT etc.) to improve productivity
• Experience with Apache camel is a plus
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Typescript) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of automated testing frameworks like Playwright
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Git Actions).
• Contributed to open source or have your own projects.
• Experience in high-performance environments (startups or competitive coding).
• Have strong opinions about developer experience and code quality.
• Domain knowedge in Payments
