How you’ll make an impactAs a Senior Software Engineer at Sidekicker, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our platform evolves. Working in a cross-functional product team, you’ll help build, scale, and maintain features that directly improve the experience of thousands of workers and businesses.
You’ll be a key contributor in technical decisions, write high-quality code, and help lift the capabilities of the broader team through mentorship and collaboration.
What you'll doLead architectural design discussions and propose solutions to complex technical problems
Write code that thousands of Sidekicks and businesses rely on every day
Collaborate with Product and Design to help shape product specifications
Write clean, testable code that is maintainable and easy for other developers to understand

A reasoned and pragmatic approach to software development and testing
A love of problem-solving, investigating and determining the optimal solution
Adaptable and open to working in an agile development environment
A willingness to mentor junior and mid-level engineers, enhancing their skills and fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
Strong foundational engineering skills demonstrated by writing clean, well-structured code that minimises technical debt.
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in software development
Demonstrated proficiency in backend development, ideally with PHP or NodeJS
Familiarity with AWS and deploying services in a cloud environment
Commercial experience with GraphQL in production environments
Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tackle diverse problems
Full-stack experience, particularly with React, is a plus
