  • $ $110,479 - $111,051 (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About The Team

The Women’s Quality and Safety Unit provides an expert advisory service to the staff and services of the Women’s on quality improvement, risk management patient experience and patient safety. It is responsible for the provision of designated data and information to service areas and relevant external agencies and for the facilitation of quality improvement activities. The Unit is responsible for the coordination of the hospital accreditation and associated activities under the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards.

About The Role

As an Quality and Safety Partner you will promote and facilitate a focus on quality, risk management and improvement within the clinical service areas based on the agreed organisational frameworks and tools. You will support the provision of patient focused risk and improvement services, provide advice to clinical services, support the creation of exceptional experiences across the organisation, develop and review effective incident reporting for all areas and participate in accreditation related activities to achieve successful accreditation of the Women’s

A Regular Day Will See You

  • Assisting / supporting / advising Clinical Directors and Managers with initiatives and activities relating to quality, risk and patient safety
  • Utilising VHIMS, review all non-OHS incidents from the clinical service area (s) following verification of the mandatory information within the required monthly timelines
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Directors ensure that all ISR 1 and 2 incidents from their service area are investigated appropriately, that ISR 1 and 2 incidents are escalated appropriately and that the requirements of the Statutory Duty of Candour are met.
  • Providing support for implementation and evaluation of quality, risk and improvement activities within the clinical arena
  • Supporting reporting and compliance with meeting the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards

About You

You are a collaborative and thoughtful communicator, able to build trust, work independently or as part of a team, and translate data and insights into meaningful change.

You’ll Bring With You

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in a health-related area and/or experience in the health sector
  • Understanding of clinical governance and a systems approach to quality, patient safety, continuous improvement and risk management
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Experience in data management and clinical incident review
  • Ability to work well in teams and individually
