Our client, an award-winning online financial brokerage firm, is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced professional to lead its sales and operations as the Head of Country for Malaysian market. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the country’s sales performance, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence while aligning with the company policy and the country regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the local financial markets, regulations, a proven track record of successful sales team leadership and the ability to deliver results.


Position: Head of Country – Financial Brokerage Firm
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Salary: Open to discuss
Report: CCO, Board of Directors



Key Responsibilities: • Act as a sales lead for Malaysian market. • Lead business development efforts across Malaysia by identifying emerging market trends and evolving customer needs, acquiring new clients, and strategically influencing revenue growth to achieve record-breaking performance. • Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service and long-term engagement. Enhance distribution channels and service delivery across business segments to increase client reach and satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with local laws and industry regulations while fostering strong relationships with key regulatory bodies and government agencies to support seamless business operations. • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aimed at positioning the company as a market leader in Malaysia. • Prepare and present regular performance reports and strategic updates to the Board of Directors. Deliver insights into operational progress, financial outcomes, and market dynamics to guide executive decision-making. • Lead and motivate a high-performing team through collaboration and encouragement across APAC regions. • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement to ensure sustained team engagement and operational excellence. • Oversee and manage Malaysia Office operations. • Manage the office's budget with a focus on cost efficiency and strategic resource deployment. • Ensure effective financial planning, forecasting, and accountability to support overall business objectives.


Requirements: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field (Finance, Business, Economics and other relevant degrees) is ideal but not required. • Over 10 years of managerial experience in financial services - FX or CFDs knowledge is a plus. • In-depth knowledge of Malays markets, trading platforms, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks. • Proven track record of business growth and team leadership. • Enjoy interacting with internal and external people, and passionate in client service in financial sector. • Detail-oriented with a positive, results-driven attitude, proactive, and poses strong leadership with experience to build and maintain the high performing team. • Quick problem solver, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Business level Chinese.
