Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Project Director with proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects, ideally within the government or public sector. As a key member of our dedicated Defence team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing critical projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance with required standards. You will work in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. This position is based in Adelaide, South Australia, and requires the ability to hold and maintain at least a Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include

• All phases of the project lifecycle from initiation, execution and project closure
• Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers
• Ensure procurement activities align with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
• Foster positive stakeholder relationships through regular interactions.
• Manage project information in compliance with Defence and APP standards.
• Deliver projects within or under budget and reduce program durations.
• Prioritize and close out Handover Takeover (HOTO) promptly.
• Capture lessons learned and innovations for continuous improvement.
  
  

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management) and hold a minimum of a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles overseeing complex infrastructure projects, preferably within defence or the public sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in consultancy, program management, and project management methodologies with a successful track record of delivering large-scale initiatives on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels.
