- Salary: $85,790 to $ $95,413 – ASO5
Overview:
The incumbent will be required to undertake state-wide food safety auditing as required by legislation and assist with the introduction and maintenance of independently audited Food Safety Management Systems in food businesses as required by legislation.
There will also be a requirement to contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and review of effective food safety risk assessment and management approaches in South Australian food businesses along with supporting and assisting with the provision of advice on food safety risk assessment and management.
Appointment to classification will be based upon skills / experience.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent will be required hold a driver’s licence (car class) and undertake out of hours and intra/interstate work, which may necessitate overnight stays.
